Beautiful Luxury Home for Sale in Los Angeles | 627 N. Palm Drive

A cross between colonial Spanish architecture and classic Beverly Hills concept, the modern villa combines the very best of the two traditions. The home’s stunning design and breathtaking landscaping make the property one of the most unique in Beverly Hills.

The Home’s Exterior Features

Located one block South of Sunset, the five bedroom and eight bath home sits on 17,780 square feet of verdurous grounds. The gated villa was built in 1929 by renowned American architect Ralph Flewelling and combines timeless Spanish architecture with classic Beverly Hills motifs. Redesigned by Standard Architecture, the property is surrounded by swirling grass, hand-laid basalt cobblestone, and verdant flora. Picturesque vines climb up the side of the home recalling rustic villas in Spain. The property’s elegant olive trees give the courtyard natural pockets of shade from the bright California sun. Privately nestled away among the graceful trees, a stone-lined pool sits at the center of the yard. The serene backyard also encloses a quaint casita guest house that overlooks the pool. A double garage with an adjacent gated carport adds accessibility to driving in and out of the property.

The Home’s Interior Features

Designed by Jason Bolden and Adair Curtis of JSN Studio, the home’s interior is elegant with a rustic air. Almost every room is bathed in natural light as sumptuous white oak floors run throughout the space. A spacious living room features historic stained-glass windows that sit beneath lofty high-beamed ceilings and intricate ironwork. An extensive library with shelves built into the walls is an ideal recreational space. The historic yet luxe motif is continued in the kitchen. Furnished with state-of-the-art appliances, the kitchen is replete with custom cabinetry. A floating island with a Calacatta Gold marble counter stands in the center. The kitchen’s abundance of windows and French doors flood the room with natural light and fresh air. A breakfast room feeds directly into the kitchen. Adjacent is an open formal dining room feeding into a wine-tasting room. Just beyond is a state-of-the-art wine cellar with full temperature control. Also on the first story sits a maid’s room complete with bath. In the annex, a wooden staircase leads up to the second floor. In the master suite, another cedar vaulted ceiling sits over french doors that lead into a forward-facing balcony. Dual bathrooms both feature luxurious slab marble and walk-in closets with windows looking out onto the pool.

In addition to its stunning design, the property also houses artwork from some of the most renowned names in 20th century art. With floral pieces by Picasso, Botticelli screenprints by Warhol, and even a piece by Basquiat, the home is replete with priceless bluechip masterpieces. Other eminent artists on display at the property include Lichtenstein, Hirst, Ludlow, Motherwell, Sultan, Ruscha, Christo, Frankenthaler, and more. All of these pieces are curated by Creative Art Partners.

Beverly Hills Neighborhood & Lifestyle

Sitting in the heart of Beverly Hills, 627 N. Palm Dr. is adjacent to some of the most exclusive and luxurious attractions in the city. Although the home is just minutes away from the legendary nightlife of the Sunset Strip, the neighborhood still maintains privacy and quiet during the evenings. The home is also very close to Rodeo Drive—easily the most luxurious shopping district on the West Coast.
